about us

Noah Albro

Noah AlbroNoah grew up around the video industry, his father being an award winning Producer for WJLA out of Washington DC. From this early exposure, Noah couldn't help but pick up some video production technique. After graduating from UMBC with a degree in audio/video production, Noah and his good friend Christian Parent founded 12 Foot Swell Video Productions

Noah brings a keen eye, strong camera technique, and spot on editing skills to 12 Foot Swell Productions.

Christian Parent

Christian ParentChristian studied music recording at UMBC and spent several years working in the audio production world after graduating. Christian had wanted to branch out into video production, and after talking with his friend and former student, Noah Albro, cofounded 12 Foot Swell.

Christian's extensive background in audio production enables 12 Foot Swell Productions to deliver high quality audio.

what's with the name?

There's a permanent small craft warning where the Patapsco River meets the Chesapeake Bay. At Seven Foot Knoll, two large shipping channels merge into one as they head from the bay into the Patapsco River. Due to a combination of water depth, bottom conditions, and wakes from passing cargo ships, waves from 10 to 15 feet in height have been reported in that area. The waves appear suddenly, with little or no warning, and can easily capsize small craft.

When we were coming up with a name for our company, we wanted something related to Baltimore, but didn't want to go with the obvious Baltimore cliches. So no "Charm City Productions" or "Blue Crab Video." Also, any name we came up with had to pass the "Can I think of a way to make fun of it" test. We both liked the name, and couldn't make fun of it. Also, it makes girls giggle, which is cool with us.
